Why I’m Starting a Blog About Life, Photography & Books

Starting a blog about life, photography, books, and everyday reflections—reconnecting with creativity, curiosity, and what really matters.

Sometimes the best way forward is to return to what once lit us up. This blog is my space to explore life—through words, images, and honest reflection.

Hi and welcome – I’m glad you’re here

I started this blog to reconnect with two things that once meant a lot to me: photography and reading. Both have shaped different parts of my life—sometimes loud and present, sometimes quietly in the background.
Now, I’m ready to bring them back with more intention and see where they take me.

Rediscovering Photography as a Creative Outlet

A few years ago, I fell in love with photography—especially macro and animal photography. I enjoy capturing the small details, stillness, and quiet beauty of everyday moments. Light, texture, patterns in nature—that’s where I find calm.

Lately, however, my camera has been sitting unused more often than I’d like. This blog is a gentle nudge to pick it up again. Not for perfection. Not for performance. Just for joy and curiosity.

Reading for Growth, Comfort, and Curiosity

Books have always been a safe space. As a teenager, I used to disappear into stories for hours.
Today, as a nursing student and lifelong learner, I want to reconnect with reading—not just for pleasure, but also for insight, growth, and reflection.

Reading helps me slow down. It shifts my perspective, grounds me, and often reminds me of what matters most.

What This Life Blog Might Grow Into

I don’t have a fixed plan for this space yet.
Maybe it’ll grow into a mix of thoughts, book discoveries, photography experiments, and small reflections on everyday life.
Then again, maybe it’ll change as I change—and that’s okay.

What I do know: I’m ready to begin—camera in hand, book nearby, and an open mind.
Thanks for reading. I’m glad you’re here.

So, what about you?
What are you rediscovering right now? Photography, books, something else entirely?
